Each half consists of a bevelled central pieces of milk glass with a pressed silver glass surround. They are in fact made from a single piece of glass but with different finishes applied. The two halves hook together in the centre with a large gold metal hook and eye. There are gold herald loops in each half to feed the fabric through and they have been stamped Czechoslovakia to denote
