It is very rare to find an Armchair on an original cats cradle base as the production numbers were a lot lower as the other variants ! Manufactured by between 1959 and 1962 by the Plastics Division of the General American Transportation Corporation. GATC was one of the first three makers of Eames shells. Recognisable by the double triangle marking. Very nice
