It features a brawny quarter sawn solid oak frame, with a thick slung saddle leather seat and backrest. It was designed by the great Danish designer Brge Mogensen in 1958 and manufactured by CI designs. CI Designs was a licensed manufacturer of Mogensen designs, as well as a number of other prominent designers of the time.
