SOLD 1950s George Nelson for Herman Miller Slatted Bench in Maple 56" Model 4992 _Exclude This is a DSS ChairThis is a Slat Bench, Model 4992, originally designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in 1947. This particular example dates to the 1950s. The bench is comprised entirely of maple, and it has ebonized maple legs. The cabinet that is shown in some of the photos is sold separately, but it appears to be original to the bench. This is undoubtedly one of Nelson's most iconic designs. The bench measures 18. 75 inches long, 56. 5 inches wide, and 14. 25
